
Who is Strata Computers?
Lee Jesse is the founder of Strata Computers. Lee purchased his first computer at the age of 15 (in 1985) a Texas Instruments TI99/4A an used to write numerous programs in extended basic on that machine(which we still owns today and works). At that time if Junior High he had Apple II machines to program on which he wrote programs for faculty and staff of Southwest Junior High in Basic. Lee saw his first PC in the journalism department in high school where he was elected the computer manager in 1986. He bought his first PC in 1987 which was an original IBM PC with a 8086 Intel Processor with 2 floppy drives, he took it all apart and his parents asked if he could put it back together, which he did.
Lee went on to Keller Graduate Schools in Kansas City, MO in 1989 where they had "The Internet" or the Arpanet as it was called at that time and also took classes at University of Mo, Lee moved after college to pursue some opportunities in New York City and Chicago and later moved back to Albert Lea to manage EL Discount Computers in the Northbridge mall as the Head Technician in 1995.
After El Discount Lee became the Network Administrator for Agrigrowth, an agriculture company in the greater Albert Lea Area. Lee was presented with a job in Des Moines, Iowa working for The Meyocks Group where he became Head of Internet Development and learned much about marketing in 1998.
Lee was presented with another opportunity in 2000, working for Quilogy, Inc which was a Fortune 1000 company becoming an Microsoft Certified Trainer teaching corporate IT people, A web development programmer and database engineer as well as network infrastructure.
After the Dot.Com bust 50 people were laid off in that division and Lee decided to pursue a career in Education. He worked as a professor in bachelor degree studies in programming and network administration as well as open Strata Computers.
Lee has moved back to Albert Lea and has taken Strata Computers with him. With 25 Years experience, Lee Can Get the job done right.
